Balsh among other accomplishments in offroad racing, has won the off-road "world championship" in 1977, S.C.O.R.E. event at the reowned Riverside, Ca. in 1977. Three other finishers along with Balsh drove Scouts. Balsh won the Baja 1000, the Mint 400 & three guelling events in the fall of 1978 at Lake Geneva, WI.
