These replacement gas struts for the rear liftgate on your 1971-80 Scout II are a direct bolt on with no required modifications. Simply unbolt the existing mechanical liftgate struts and bolt in these custom gas hydraulic struts. Makes opening and closing of your liftgate a breeze. Helps reduce rattles as well. Installs in under 15 minutes. One of the best upgrades you can make to your Scout II. Not for Scout Traveler.
